Dear Parents,

We look forward to an exciting and very educational year with your child in grade 5.  Following is a list of supplies your child will need for next year and a break down of the school fees.  The teachers would like all supplies sent to school and the teachers will distribute to your child his/her supplies as needed.

Grade Five Students are required to bring the following school supplies:

         1 - 2” loose leaf binder                               2 8 ½ X11” coiled scribblers ruled margin

         2 pkg of regular colored duotangs               approximately 100 pages

         1 refill (lined 100 pack)                               1 packages dividers for binders

         1 good quality small pencil sharpener           5 red marking pens or pencils

         1 solar-powered calculator (larger than       1 medium size  pencil case

         a deck of cards - simpler the better)            1 box pencil crayons

         1 good quality pointed scissors                    30 pencils (keep 10 at home)

         (long blade, child size)                                 2 Highlighters

         6 white erasers                                           1 - 30 centimetres (only) ruler (see through)

         2 large UHU glue sticks                              2 boxes Kleenex (300’s)

         1 pkg reinforcements                                 

         1 package felt pens assorted colours - water soluble

         5 good ball point pens, blue or black (Bic or Papermate style Non-retractable)

         1 pair inside shoes (runners) to be left at school.  Please try to purchase non-marking shoes for your children to wear at school.  Some shoes are making huge black marks in our hallways and on our floors.  This takes Scot a great deal of time to clean.  Your help would greatly be appreciated.  Thank-you.

Additional supplies may be asked for in September.

To avoid lost supplies, print your child’s name on everything with permanent ink.  All supplies should be sent with your child the first morning he or she registers.  Some of these items may need to be replaced as they are used during the school year.

School Fees for the 2007/2008 school year will be $55.00. This includes the following:

         Materials Fee - $20.00

         Special Projects - $10.00

         Swimming/Skating/Phys. Ed Activities - $10.00

         Technology - $10.00

         Student Agenda Book - $5.00
