Dear Parents,

 

Greetings from Dr. Hamman!  We would like to say “hello” to all of you, and welcome your child to the wonderful world of Grade One.  We will have a terrific year together!  We ask that you provide the following supplies for your child for the first day of school.  We will keep the supplies at school and provide when necessary.

***PLEASE MAKE SURE SUPPLIES ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE STUDENT’S NAME.

12 HB pencils                                                  wax crayons (24 pack)

pencil crayons (24 pack)                                  4 white erasers

5 glue sticks (large)                                         large book bag or back pack

Large box of Kleenex

Pencil box with an attached lid (large enough to hold crayons, pencils, etc).  No zippers, please.  *A note will be sent home if supplies need to be replenished later in the year

                                                                                               

1 Pair of inside runners with non marking soles to be left at school!  (These shoes will be put on when your child reaches the school and left inside when they go out for recess, so they need their regular shoes for outside wear.  This helps keep our floors and rugs clean since we spend a lot of time on the floor.)

Please do not send felt markers to school with your child!  Any work with felt pens will be done with school pens.  Thank you.

photocopied booklets                books as needed                  art supplies

School Fees for the 2007/2008 school year will be $55.00.  This includes the following:

·        Materials/Textbook Rental Fee - $25.00

·        Special Projects - $10.00

·        Swimming/Skating/Activities - $10.00

·        Technology - $10.00

School Fees may be paid at the school office starting August 27th.

During the first week of school, Grade One students will be individually assessed by their Grade One teacher.  Please look for a sign up sheet that will be available on the first day of school.
